The time has come......

I think that it's time to change the name of the blog. Tasha will always be with us in spirit and in our hearts. She may show up in pictures and in stories and will always featured at the top of my sidebar. But I'm tired of Momma and Dad crying every time they see her name in big letters at the top of this blog.

This blog is now about ME!!! If you have any suggestions, feel free to submit them. My friend Khyra came up with Eva-lution for a post title and gave us permission to use it as a possible blog replacement title.

I have been having a lot of adventures but Momma is too lazy to hook the little box to the big box. So without the pictures, I told her that I can't share them. She promised me to do it within the next few days.

Belly rubs,
Princess Eva

P.S. Momma wanted to share that she is submitting an application to Belgian Rescue. If they find our app and our references acceptable and then we pass a home inspection, we'll be on a waiting list to be matched with another Tervuren. Momma is a little worried because I'm such a neurotic dog that they won't think that we deserve another Terv. But my confidence is growing everyday. Instead of my kennel, on my bed or between the sofa and the ottoman, I've even started napping in the foyer which was Tasha's favorite spot. From there I'm exposed to upstairs, downstairs, the front door and the door to the garage. Momma says that this is a big step towards becoming the alpha dog.

I would like Princess Eva. Or Alpha Eva to show your new status. I suppose Eva's World is too similar. Or maybe just Eva for now and if you get another Terv then rethink later. (two Tervs sounds a bit naff I think).

Pippa - who isn't really very clever at dog blog names.

I have told master about the name change and he thinks it would be a shame to not have some reference to Tasha in the title. Have you thought of doing something like Rocky, Bear and Angel LacyLulu? Or starting another blog like Harry and Cassidy did after Oscar's death? We think it's a difficult one, but you will come up with the right solution for you.

Paws crossed you are all accepted for another Terv. And that momma hooks up the boxes soon.

How about "Eva's Big World"? Otherwise I do like Eva-lution.

I just heard the news about Tasha and I wanted to come by to express my sadness and sympathy. It's very painful, I know, having just lost my 16 year old four legged kid the end of April. Like someone said up above I, too, couldn't take his name off his blog. You will do what feels right for you. Just take your time deciding....

Listen Eva, if those rescue people have any doubt that your family is a good home for a future pup, you just send them to talk to me. I will set them straight and make sure you get on the list. I bet you're going to be the boss of your new pup just like Tasha was the boss. If you need any pointers on that, let me know that too. I boss Steve around with no problems! I bet you don't need any tips though because it sounds like Tasha taught you well!

I like Khyra's title too. It's really clever.

Hi Eva,

I also vote for Eva-lution. And you did say Tasha's picture will always be on the top, so she won't be forgotten (although that would never happen)...

diane

p.s. You look so cute and huggable in that picture!

I like the name. It fits the life change you are going through at this time. We are crossing paws for you and know you will be fine.

Khyra is very smart. I like the name Eva-lution. Or, you could always just make it Eva's World.

I think it's great they are looking for a rescue. There are way too many unwanted pets out there.

Or, maybe you could try a Siberian!!! They are lots of fun too!!

Whatever your humans decide, just know you are loved by all of us!

You will make the decision that is best for you. A number of bloggers have had to face the same dilemma and it has been hard.

We hope all goes well with Belgian Rescue. Those type dogs sure are big and beautiful.

Eva,
About that peanut butter trap.... my Mom searched high and low for it AGAIN when we got home today, this time expanding the search to the outside front and back yards, and she moved all the boxes in the garage around and even looked in "open" areas instead of just against the walls. No sign of the peanut butter sandwich, or whatever carried it away. Now my Mom is hoping the peanut butter sandwich never makes another appearance because if it did... it'd be very scary!

p.s. I am happy you might get a new sibling in a few months! That is nice to look forward to!!!

Woos, we like "Eva-lution" too, (that Khyra is soooo klever!) before mom read that, she thought "Garden of Eva" was kind of cute.
Jack thought we should rename my blog after him, but I wooo'd "I don't think so, dude. Your in MY pack now."

That's furry exciting that you may get a Terv sib soon - it's nice to have canine company.

Woos & a-roos,

Hi Eva,

Glad that you came visiting. I'm sorry to hear about Tasha.

About renaming your blog:
I do like Eva-lution:) After all, you are experiencing an evolution (becoming the alpha dog.)

I think you look smart...and...formidable! "Eva's Den" was the first title that struck me when I saw your pictures, but I think Eva-lution fits better; it's more relevant:)

lots of licks and wags,
Oorvi

We love Eva-lution as a blog name! And we're glad you're testing the alpha-dog waters... or at least the best vantage-point spots. We think that you just need to tell the rescue folks to read your blog and that will answer all that they need to know about what kind of home their Tervs would have at your house.
