Farm Dog

A special gift came in the mail from Mason Dixie. Some yummy crunchy healthy treats from Farm Dog. A big THANK YOU to Mason Dixie!!!! We definitely bookmarked their site for future purchases - Momma is thinking about ordering some of their Healing Salve.

It's warm out there today. Yes, it's only 81F but here in Minnesota in May, that's toasty. So it's POOL TIME!!

Brice thinks we need a bigger pool....or at least a second pool

Brice rolled me a few times under the willow tree. My beautifully groomed coat is now tangled with willow "caterpillars".

Our parents both love and hate this willow tree

Then Momma snuck in an off-leash training session for Brice. She is starting to talk about me needing some training. Today I just watched closely to make sure that the boy was doing things correctly....and to get treats. Sorry the pics are dark, Momma was keeping us in the shade where it's cooler.

Brice's "Front" command. His little toes are touching Momma's toes and his eyes are locked on Momma.

For some reason, Brice "heels" better off -leash

I'm making sure that Brice "stays" until Momma returns and releases him.

A quick question for you all. Our parents are talking about taking us camping and boating this year and are concerned about our safety. Do any of you have "Water Protection Devices" aka Life Vests? If so, any brand that you would recommend to buy or stay away from?

Woof ya later,
Princess Eva

p.s. Our blog roll seems to be acting up and not always showing us when you have a new post. So if we haven't commented it may be because the list is not telling us to get over and read your latest news. We'll try to chew it into submission.

I am glad you liked the hard tack, it is one of my favorites. =) Good luck with the training, I could never be that patient. =) Have you met Simba and Jazzi? they go out on the boat all the time, they could probably help you out.

We don't have life jackets, but Mom and Dad have talked about getting some for us. We'll be interested in learning what you learn about them!

Swimming in the pool is so fun! You do need two!

Blogger seems to be acting very strange. We notice that some posts that come through have actually been out there for hours. Who knows?

As for the heat, it was 26 this morning when we woke up. The humans have had to scrape their windows the past two mornings. We love it.

Hey guys!

Good job with the training--keep it up, Brice!

We go swimming a lot, but the water isn't very deep, so we don't have any vests or anything. Hopefully someone else will have some good advice fur woo!

Those treats look wonderful - Mason Dixie is awesome, isn't she?

Dad's parents had a weeping willow tree and they felt the same way - but the kids always loved to swing on the low hanging branches.

Happy training - st least it usually involves treats.

Thanks for the nice comment about Dakota's post - it is a little hard to find a way to post happy things about her days.

Ditto what Huffle said. Ha roo roo roo! Unless Stormy's the one giving orders...
Our neighbor has a Willow Tree and our mom seems to have a love/hate relationship with it. It's beautiful and gives a lot of privacy... but OH, the mess it makes in OUR yard!

Hi Princess Eva and Brice. We are very sorry to read about the anniversary of Tasha's passing.
As Mom was reading, she saw were you were asking about Life vests? I have and she loves this one:

We have several Ruffwear items (I love my boots!) and she trusts their quality. Hope you have fun in the water. ~Gita

Hi Princess Eva and Brice! I'm rilly tired from Daycare, so I'm sleepin' right now, but Mom said she would type for me. I, too, have a Ruffwear backpack! : ) Ruffwear is a great company with thoughtfully designed products. They will keep you safe. Their life vests are designed to keep your head out of the water and adequate flotation material for your weight. Enjoy! ~Gita
