When the humans got out our leashes this afternoon, we were so excited. We thought we were going to the park to run and play. But we turned left instead of right and ended up at the V-E-T. The Princess was due for shots and she's been having some discharge in her eyes in the last 2 days.
The nice lady put some neon yellow stuff in Eva's eyes and then looked at them with a big fancy flashlight to make sure that her eyes weren't scratched. No scratches but they were a little red and swollen and she has conjuntivitis. Momma and Dad get to put ointment in them 3 times a day. You could say that round one tonight did not go well - Momma was wearing more ointment than she got in Eva's eyes.
Other things-
Our friend Kodak noticed that we added another tab at the top of our blog for MN dog parks. We're going to try to visit as many dog parks and trails as we can this year. We got the idea from Steve and Kat. Their very talented mom started a new blog called Pacific Northwest - On Leash but our page is not going to be as fancy. It's just a way to make Momma and Dad take us to new places.
Our friends in the OP pack commented about not coming back if off-leash. Princess Eva almost always comes when Momma or Dad call her. I'm a little more challenging- if I see a pup in the distance, I continue on and say "Hi" but then I come running back. But they are very careful to only take me to fenced parks.
Sorry there are no pictures. Our humans are becoming more forgetful every day,
Brice

Eva should let your mom put in that ointment. Her eyes are very important and need to be sparkly all the time.
You are going to have so much fun visiting dog parks. We look forward to many pictures.
We feel for your mom, Eva. Cheoah needed eye drops 3 times a day for two weeks last fall. It was one of the funnier things to watch our humans try to get eye drops into Cheoah's eyes, particularly once she learned what the bottle meant.
I'm sure woo two khan work out SOMETHING so that your momma doesn't get too frustrated!
As for more furgetful, well. the spring thaw should be khoming...maybe the brains will too!

Medicine in eyes? I don't know how I would take that either... Mom gives me my pills in peanut butter, I love that, maybe some peanut butter while giving eye drops?

They took my girl parts last time I was at the vet! EEEK! I would have taken weird goo in my eye for sure. Get well soon! Can't wait for more pics. :)

eyedrop administration is no fun- our Mom can tell woo all about it, both from a human and canine perspective:-)
Glad to hear woo two do well at recall, even if Brice tests things a bit.
Tail wags, the OP Pack
What does "recall" mean? I don't recall. Hee hee hee!
Love,
Ammy
PS: Please let your momma put the drops in your eyes, Eva! It's only to help you!!!
We hope Eva starts feeling better soon!
Addie had to have ointment put in her eyes before. She did not care for it at all.
Take care sweetie!
Lots of Luv & kisses

I'm considering trading my mum in for a better model, since they're leaving me alone AGAIN for 11 days. Do you want to swap?

Great idea about the leash trips. I need to convince my mom that that's a most excellent plan.

I'm glad to hear we're not the only ones with forgetful parents. Can you believe my Mom walked into the room the other day and exclaimed she didn't know what she was there for! These humans scare me sometimes! I think she needs some of my kibble.

Dear Eva and Brice, Hi! We are 2 Maltese dogs and we have just come across your blog and whew! you are beautiful dogs, and also, we have 2 things to say. First, our Humans are getting more forgetful every day 2 and frankly it's got to stop. Second, we also want to say Two Paws Up! for your outstanding motto, about doing what you can every day. And then negst (we always forget what comes after second), outstanding selectshon on the movies -- anything with a doorbell or dog. This is truly brillyunt and a good way to decide what movies to watch if you have been allowed to stay up and watch late nite television, which often we are not. Also, do you get popcorn? We do not. Love, your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy! http://www.luluandlolly.com
We have to stay in fully fenced areas too. Dad often wonders what it would be like to have dogs who were "reliable" but we tell him it wouldn't be nearly as interesting.
