Just say No

As lovable as we are, Momma's got the baby itch. No, not human, she's got puppy on the brain. She belongs to a Belgian board and she has shown us so many pictures and videos of recent litters.

It won't be soon because this is what happens when you get a pup when there is snow. Notice all the dead spots by the edge of the patio.

Dad only shoveled the snow a few feet away from the patio when they brought Eva home. So she thinks that the three foot radius is her potty zone regardless of the presence or absence of snow. (Have I ever mentioned that Eva would not be the smartest dog in a pack of one?)

Yes, the Momma is considering adopting but she wants another Terv and there are so few of them. Only 434 were registered with the AKC in 2006. The reputable breeders prefer show or performance homes but maybe in the spring Momma can find a Terv in rescue or another pup that the breeder will allow to go to a companion home.

Most reputable breeders within the Belgian Terv community do follow the philosphy that "if you don't rescue, don't breed". As a result many of the Tervs in rescue/rehome situations are being fostered with breeders.

My thoughts on the subject:
Pro: Eva will have someone else to chew on
Con: Dad only has two hands so he can only pet two at a time but he has mastered playing ball with multiple dogs

Momma also has forgotten that Dad has to agree to expanding the pack. Not sure that will happen.

I will always be the alpha dog,
Tasha

P.S. From Eva to Tasha: I may not be smart as you but I'm the pretty one

Eva,

Gotta respond to this 'cause my brother Jake keeps telling everyone that I'm not as smart as he is -- and it just isn't true!!! I could give you tons of reasons -- some of which you'll find on various of our joint blog (when he lets me take over).

And, I'm the handsome one, with the long tail and the cute ears.

Older siblings!!!

If you both would like to fill us in on what the real Minnesota is like, we'd love to hear about it!!! We understand that our other source has his own way of looking at it.

Mommy woud luv to foster a Sibe, but daddy said no cuz then he would have to build an addition onto the house to house more doggies. He said that mommy wouldn't want to give any of the fosters up. She gots us & we can be a handful, fer sure! That is, I'm the good, handsum, super smart one - Cosi. And Juneau, is the lil demon dummy who keeps getting into trouble (Not always Cosi, mommy has caught you red pawed wif her washcloth & other things, too! -J-)

Oh Wooooo!
A puppy!! We LOVE puppies!!! Mama has had no success convincing dad to add to our pack, "what's one more, anyway, Honey?"
However she figured out with me that if she finds the pup then just refuses to put if down, that he'll give in just to make sure she goes home with him instead of moving in with the pups, howroooroo. Tell your mom she might try that tactic!
Woo girls are so beawootiful, tell daddy if you get one more you can be "daddy's angels", he could even change his name to Charlie!
What a reat addition to your pack! Keeping our paws crossed for you in FL.
Kisses,
Bama & the RHP

Grrrls don't argue, you are both equally beawootiful, and smart!

Make sure you get another beautiful girl dog and then I can have another girlfriend please.

Mistress was in hoots about Eva not being the smartest dog in a pack of one. I thought it was not a nice comment. She would certainly be the most beautiful dog in a pack of one, and maybe even in a pack of two, so there Tasha (fatty!). hehe, ooops I didn't really mean that.

Honest, love Pippa xx

PS Mistress finally posted your card today. You might get it in time for New Year. She really is rubbish on sending cards.
